DISCOVER NORTHSHORE
NORTHSHORE 2030 SITE PROPOSAL
(This project is part of Queensland University of Technology Landscape Architecture Honours Course under the unit Landscape Design 4) [2018]
The given task was to develop landscape design proposals for Northshore in 2030 (Northshore in Hamilton, Brisbane).
Toward this aim, the client has identified the following priorities for the Northshore Studio.
Northshore 2030 will be a distinctive place which:

 Invites and encourages diverse visitor types to explore new experiences in the arts, culture, food, active and passive recreation;
 Facilitates a diversity of commercial and creative enterprises;
 Activates the whole site;
 Integrated into the surrounding context;
 Dynamic and safe 24/7;
 Inclusive and universally accessible, including by public transport;
 Retains and reimagines on-site heritage, including the historic wharf timbers, the Maritime Wharves, the Tank and The Shed;
 Connects and activates the whole river frontage, inviting passive and active engagement with the river, as well as pedestrian and cyclist connectivity from the Northshore Hamilton CityCat terminal through to Portside Wharf;
 Includes either a continuation of Eat Street Northshore, the Modular Farm, The Deck, The Lawn and the Tennis Park, or reimagines their functions in different ways and in different locations;
 Incorporates adequate parking, service and emergency access.
