This project involved creating a 20 page newspaper revolving around the seven deadly sins. Each page includes a description of a sin followed by a picture that represents each sin. The objective of this project was to use digital techniques to develop a tabloid newspaper. I was the model for greed, sloth, and wrath. Found photo of envy was from shutterstock, and I was the photographer and designer for pride and greed. 

This is the list of design requirements for the project:

Lust: found print / collage

Gluttony: typography based 

Greed: personal photograph, full color

Sloth: personal photograph, duotone

Wrath: found object

Envy: found image with hand written type

Pride: constructed image, type included

This was a found photo from shutterstock. I liked the triangle pattern and the colors. My newspaper has warm tone colors, so I liked the yellow. 

Greed is an obsession with wealth, fame, or power. Greed is a strong desire. I came up with the idea to take a picture with a lot of money because most people desire a lot of money. 

Sloth represents procrastination. Sloth is when you put off important tasks in order to do something more fun. This photo shows an important to-do list with things way past due. In the background, I am playing videogames instead of doing important work. 

Pride is when you try and hide something bad. This photo shows beautiful flowers that are trying to distract the viewer from the deadness around it. Pride is also hidden in the shadows.
