Composing with Serif and Sans Serif Glyphs

Composing with Serif and Sans Serif Glyphs
These two designs, are both mockups of two different types of letters/glyphs. On the left, is the Sans Serif composition. On the right is the Serif design.
In my typography class, we were assigned to create two separate abstract compositions. These compositions had to include a Sans serif font (Neue Haas Grotesque Bold 75), and a Serif font (Stemple Garamond Roman). The compositions had to include 5-8 different glyphs, and they  to include five different elements of typographical anatomy. I included typographical anatomy such as: a counter space, a bowl, loop, crossbar, descender, and a few others. One other specification we had to meet for this assignment, was the use of at least two black glyphs, as well as two white ones. The glyphs could only be in black and white, with no outlines. I enjoyed this assignment, as well as the creative process.
Here is the Serif composition in the font, Stemple Garamond Roman.
This is the Sans Serif composition in the font, Neue Haas Grotesque Bold.
