I’m delighted to share this recent work with you through my painting ”By dawn’s fiery light ” I painted this on Saturday, and am continuing to delve deeper into darker themes and use of a warmer more emotional colour palette.

The suns early rays reflect off the wild whispy clouds, beneath their spectrum of colours the dark seas still slumber, reluctant to waken as the sun makes her appearance stirring them with her gentle golden beams.

The lighthouse keeper watches with joy as he welcomes her dawn light and keeps a wary eye on the tiny craft ploughing its way through the brooding lethargic waves, a surveyor returning from a night shift with new valuable data from the local reef dozens of miles out at sea.

Just one of many such vessels venturing out into the the unknown on any given night, though sadly not all have returned.
