Belavia - Brand Identity




Belavia is the main and only Belarusian airline, operating from 1996. The company got new identity and style in 2016, where cornflower, national symbol of Belarus, became the central element. Overall, the redesign was successful and became big step forward for the company appearance. However, there were some issues, mostly with the symbol of cornflower, which I’ve put a task to improve.

Updated logo and identity are fresh, light and modern. New cornflower symbol, paired with clean Sans Serif type part, works well on big and small applications, both on print and web. Overall, I would call this project an evolution of current identity, rather than complete redesign. The general feel, colour choices and the core element remain the same.

The project was created strictly for educational purposes.   






The main element of Belavia logo and identity is cornflower, national symbol of Belarus. For this project I decided to keep cornflower as the main element and only make minor improvements and fix one main issue - lack readability of logo symbol, caused by insufficient white space between symbol elements.
