Vector Illustration: Monster Project
For this project, I had my 5-year-old niece, Everly, come up with an original sketch of a monster. With details from her sketch, I transformed her monster into this final vectored version. In a practical setting, I envisioned "Twister" on birthday party sets of plates, napkins, etc.
Twister is from the rainforest but lives in treehouses along with all the other monkeys of his kind. He’s a friendly monster that loves to throw parties; he’s the definition of a “party animal”. He has soft fur which makes hugging his friends one of his favorite things. However, this monkey-like monster is not like the others; Twister also has 8 spikes along his sides which sometimes makes him sad because he has to be extra cautious when hugging his friends. His spiky, curly tail can extend out to protect his friends if danger approaches.
Twister is a 7-year-old monster who enjoys the company of his friends and family. He does not have a sidekick because he believes that each of his friends are just as special to him. Twister likes to pick berries, paint pictures, and bake with his mother. His best skill is defending himself with his spiky tail by swinging it around to battle enemies; this is where he gets his name, “Twister”.
