All Hallow's Wed

I think it's fairly normal for a designer who is getting married to want to put her imprint on much of the event. After all, a wedding should be about the bride and groom, who they are, what's important to them, why they love each other.

When my partner proposed, we decided that it would be a lot of fun to have a Halloween wedding and fancy-dress reception. I wanted to hand craft as many pieces as I could, and decided to go for a look I started calling 'creepy-chic'. It was weeks and weeks of work, from the hand embroidered books for the table numbers, to the bouquet's made out of old books, but it was so worth it in the end!

I drew a lot of inspiration from online. I've credited as many of the sources as I can, and linked to tutorials I used. All photos are by me, unless otherwise credited. I also wrote about the approach I took to my wedding on TYCI.org.uk, which you can read here.

Invitations
The poem is 'if everything happens that can't be done' by ee cummings. Lines from this poem are inscribed in our wedding rings.
Table Numbers
I coloured and embroidered chapter numbers from a 1926 children's book called King Ramu-ramu. Tables 1 and 2 were the top table, and were un-numbered.
Flowers
The pattern for the men's boutineers can be found here.

The women's corsages consisted of two halves of the above flowers, plus one rose created from this template.

My and the maid of honour's bouquet were made using this tutorial.
