Created for my senior capstone, Biased is a zine that discusses the gender bias which exists on Twitch.tv, a streaming website. The goal for this project is to raise awareness about what gender bias is and how it is exhibited on the platform throughout different streamer's chat rooms: male streamers receive a disproportionate amount of comments relating to their appearance or gender in comparison to any other gender identity.
By raising awareness and educating users of the platform about this issue, Biased aims to increase the self-awareness of viewers and decrease discrimination based on gender.
