Optical Flair Project
Project Brief:
Phase 1: This college design project required we select a retail product from the professor supplied list, outline specifications for who, how, and what the business sells and pitch names for the business that we created. Next, we developed an appropriate and well-designed logo solution to be used for Branding the retail business.
Phase 2: Develop an advertisement to publicize the opening of the retail boutique business’ new store to their local community.
Project Goal: The goal of this advertisement is to inform and entice customers to attend the grand opening and purchase locally at the retail boutique experience.
Challenge: This is the first interaction the consumer will have with this retail business. The audience has not heard of the business, does not know what they offer, nor do they have any idea of the quality of the product. I was tasked with positioning the client in the consumer’s mind. The advertisement needed to clearly depict what the business offered as well as visually develop the identity of the business for the consumer.
Solution: I wanted Optical Flair (Glasses frame company) to have a high class vibe to it, I wanted to show that Optical Flair's products would have that flair to help represent the name and the goals of the company I created. So the image I chose help set the foundation of the advertisement, what really pushed the design was how I laid out the typography of all the required body copy and heading to help give it that fancy feel to it.
