"Hospitāļu ielas kaimiņu svētki" is an annual festival based in Riga. The festival has traditional values of bringing neighbours together but is open to anyone. It's all about having a good time, listening to local bands, enjoying street food and participating in fun activities all around. What's different from other festivals is that "Hospitāļu ielas kaimiņu svētki" is organised by people who live on the same block, often featuring hand made decorations and a more personal atmosphere. Despite this DIY approach, the festival is attended by thousands of people and is one of the most loved events in Riga.

The challenge in designing a poster for such an event is that it has little to no funding as it's a non-profit. Having to print less is key which is why all the information has to be packed on a single page. I've designed the posters for 2019 and 2020 featuring dense typography work while maintaining visual hierarchy and communicating those ever important festival values. Looking forward to helping in 2021 as well.
