Burnaby's Deer Lake Park is evolving as a hub for cultural, civic, and recreational activities for the city's communities. Through consultation with local stakeholders and evaluations of the use of spaces throughout the park a comprehensive revisioning of the signage was developed. Updating the wayfinding included the development of new sign types to appropriately serve differing locations, complete location and message schedules, and a removal plan for existing signs.
In addition to the initial implementation plan a complete set of guidelines was created to ensure the quality of future revisions to the system and maintain consistent messaging content.
