Sustained Investigation 11- Final Four

As I continue my sustained investigation, I decided to make a design of the 2021 final four, which is taking place in Indianapolis this year. This is a form in which I could answer my SI question, "how can sports be visually interpreted?".
First, I used the following final four teams from this year: Gonzaga, Baylor, Houston, and UCLA, and divided them into 4 equivalent sections on the page. Then, I tinkered with the opacity, as I wanted a lighter visual look on the page. I settled for an opacity of 60%.
Next, I found a background of a hardwood floor, which is what basketball games are played on. This would serve as an added depth layer, which I placed at the very bottom in order to get it in the background. I then took the opacity down to 90% in order for it to best match with the logos.
To finish the piece up, I created a bracket style look, first starting with the logo of the final four in the centerpiece. I then created the "brackets" by adding text twice and simply inserting a bracket for each textbox. I then enlarged the text and found a proper font, which ultimately led to the creation as pictured above. Lastly, I added a second set of logos to each team, as this is what it would be pictured if seen on the real bracket. Each team is placed in its specific"region" that it came out of shown in the real bracket.
This is my finished piece.
