I was a little nervous when designing our save the dates and wedding invitations. I knew they wouldn't look like the lovely, elegant wedding stationary people were used to seeing. I ended up having a great time coming up with the designs and sending them out to our loved ones. It was fun reading everyone's responses and seeing who noticed that the save the dates and invitations connect to form one large picture. What wasn't fun was what came next...Everything changed when the pandemic hit, including, of course, our wedding. We decided to postpone it to make sure everyone is safe. While scrambling around to re-plan the wedding, I put together a little wedding postponement announcement to let our loved ones know the new plan: We are still getting married on our original date and we are so excited to celebrate with everyone next year when it's safe.
To all the other couples who have to postpone their weddings, I’m here to tell you that everything is going to be OK. Nothing, not even a global pandemic, can cancel your love and you will celebrate it. It might not be exactly how you planned it or maybe it won't be when you planned it but it will happen. If you're feeling like bad luck is surrounding you right now, just remember this: You found the love of your life and there is no greater luck in life than that!
