Royal Thai cuisine is the pinnacle of Thai gastronomy. Thai Kings, frequently entertained foreign visitors, had vast palace kitchens led by chefs from countries such as India, China, Persia and even Portugal— who ended up crafting dishes that were available only for Royalty. This project is a personal collection of my favorite Thai recipes that I have collected over the years. Brought and brought up in Thailand, I consider myself an expert on Thai food. Unlike many other cuisines, Thai cooking is symphony of different flavors to create a masterpiece.

For this cookbook,  I wanted to create a modern design, that communicated "royal"  - exclusive and sophisticated. I used a Thai pattern to bring a touch of traditional Thailand. Each recipe has a little snippet of the history behind the dish. Modern San serif type, Caviar Dreams, was used in headlines along with a Beloved, a beautiful italicized font for sub headings. The body text was in a simple Avenir typeface.

My inspiration for the cookbook design were images of my life back in Thailand- the sights, smells, flavors, colours, and of course my friends.
