    GARDENING TOOL

The right-handed handle is designed for people with hand issues such as arthritis. The handle features grooves for certain fingers to offer maximum comfort while gardening. In the early stages, I made many changes to the design as I considered the possibilities for finger placement. I offered the user many options to holding it in the right hand. The handle can be held upside down if one wants to drag the soil. The handle offers room for the user to use two hands if more support is needed. The conventional way to hold the handle is shown in the drawings.

I used birch wood and 14 gauge aluminum.
I used the slip roll, finger brake, corner notcher, files, and jewelry saw for the trowel.
I used a jewelry saw, files, tubing, and drill for the trowel arm.
I used detail carving tools to carve the wood. I used files and sand paper to refine the carving.
