O zine "MULHERES DA ARTE: Alice Guy-Blaché, a verdadeira primeira cineasta do mundo." é o primeiro volume de uma série de livros independentes que retratam biografias de grandes artistas mulheres, que foram esquecidas ao longo do tempo. É uma forma não só de instigar os leitores na busca pelo conhecimento de novas histórias do universo artístico feminino, mas também de destacar questões sociais, como o uso do termo "artistas femininas" e o abandono de parte da história social e cultural humana, que ao longo dos anos negligenciou importantes nomes de mulheres incrivelmente inovadoras.

Durante toda a narrativa do zine, o nome e o rosto da cineasta são censurados. Esta é dada como uma crítica à ausência de nomes de mulheres na história da arte que nos é contada, e como forma de trazer o sentimento que a mesma teve ao perceber que seu nome não era creditado nas suas produções.

No cartaz presente no verso do zine, o nome de Alice Guy-Blaché é revelado ao leitor, junto ao nome de dezenas de grandes nomes de mulheres artistas que a história esqueceu durante anos, e que agora estão sendo recuperados aos poucos.
