One page websites are a lot easier to design and although at the time I didn't feel like my professional website needed a redesign, I decided to experiment and start messing around with WordPress to see what it would look like with a CMS system.

On my previous professional website, everything was handled very statically. No libraries (1 open framework), just simple plain HTML/CSS/JavaScript. With this new website using a CMS system (even though it's a 1 page site), I was able to introduce more dynamic elements (video backgrounds), and the ability to be able to Blog using WordPress is a very useful feature to have than a static website.
