It's 2020, and your beloved annual convention has decided to go virtual. So, how do you brand this virtual conference in a way that shows that it will still have all the fun, community, products and education as the full convention, but also acknowledges that it just won't be the same as the real thing?
We decided on a frame element. We know framed pictures are just a small piece of a larger, beautiful reality. So by showing the interface window framing a small part of the conference that everyone knows and loves, we get to do both at once. We used this in all our promotion, and -spoiler alert- the conference was great.

Below is one part of the conference interface. We had some freedom to customize the environment, and I wanted a darkened theater just like people would see at the real event.
In repeating this frame element, we were able to showcase all parts of this complex, multi-faceted event. The classes, keynotes, shopping, and peek into the lives and studios of instructors as they share professional information and guidance.
