Little World
This is 1 / 3 of a series I'm currently working on. In this piece, I mainly want to create a beautiful calming little world that is built on an idea of nothing is permanent and we should cherish everything we have around us. The little world is like being held in place by clouds, portraying the fragility and short lifespan of everything around us. Underneath the island is being wrapped by bubble wrap symbolizing beautiful things around us are often came with a cost and short term. The idea is also part of the experience when I was working on it. I found a short moment of calmness when I was creating this artwork. Although it only last as long as the time I spent on this, but eventually I have to move on and go back to reality. It’s like an alternate world where I can escape to temporary, hence a little half opened door on top the hill. It was added at the very last moment. Hoping everyone will find their peace and moment although it may be temporarily, but I wish the door to calmness will stay a little longer for everyone else.
