Title: The Times
What have been designated by Allah is perfect and give lot of benefits to us. Benefiting the usage of God’s creations is one of the way to appreciate the rizq that has been given. Banana tree has given a lot of advantages for the Malaysians among any races or centuries. In this modern days, banana leaves have been used widely as decorations and also well known in the part of serving famous dishes in Malaysia which is ‘Nasi Lemak’. However, we might forgot that it has been used during the difficult times.
Traditional food such as ‘tepung pelita’, ‘otak-otak’ are also one of the dishes that served with banana leaves. It also can be used to replace plate during the ancient time. Fortunately, these days there are still restaurant serve food on banana leaves. Not just the food that could be eaten, but the flower bud also good for health.
‘The Times’ was inspired by the banana tree and the significance of it among Malaysians at all times. The flower bud symbolic that the tree is unique and precious to us, Malaysians. This tree might give memories flashback for the loved ones such as making the traditional food together or play together back in old days. Dreamy colours give a cozy feeling for someone to mesmerized the memories. By using Batik Bali style could attract the youngster to appreciate more on batik and the message behind it.
