Color Symbolism Project
BRIEF
Each color is symbolic in it's own way. Colors can be culturally symbolic. Colors can be psychologically symbolic. As a basic exercise in color symbolism as well as using the software of Adobe Illustrator, the purpose of this assignment was to define your color of choice symbolically through the use of copy text and vector graphics.
BLUE IS LIFE
326 million trillion gallons of life to be exact. Our oceans and lakes cover roughly 70 percent of Earth's surface. Each of the five oceans account for 97 percent of our planet's water supply.
Around the world, blue is symbolic in nature as a life source - water. In agriculture, people have long since worshipped water. In the form of clouds, rivers, rain, snow, oceans, or lakes, water is life giving.
It is quite odd though. We know more about our solar system and the planets within it, than we do about our oceans. Going green is the big movement right now, but how important is the color green? Blue is our planet. Blue is life. Go Blue.
