Roy Lichtenstein
Roy Fox Lichtenstein was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, along with Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and James Rosenquist among others, he became a leading figure in the new art movement. His work defined the premise of pop art through parody.
Vector Portrait
Drawing inspiration from Lichtenstein's work, in this project I took a portrait photo of myself and worked on creating a vector portrait to create a pop-art like picture and its background. The key is to have fun with the composition and color/pattern of the work. Also to focus on shapes or parts of the face and to think about the layers.
