My work in Vidas Reales
Vidas Reales was an experimental, social media based project, dedicated to change the perception that people with no disabilities have about people with disabilities During a four year period, daily publications were dedicated to modify the discriminatory narrative through human stories. My job was producing first-person chronicles, photographs and video stories. I was also in charge of finding these stories, getting in touch, give them voice.

Real Stories
Through respectful first-person chronicles narrated as tales, VidasReales got very close to the audience. These were simple expresive narrations from people and families who have different lives from the rest of us
I did these interviews in the place of people's choice. Very often this place was their home. This intimate enviroment created a comfortable atmosphere and they'd found it very easy to open up.
After the one-hour conversation I'd took some photos to illustrate the story. Then I would trancribe the text from the recording and edited it as simple as it could be. In all cases, the text was approved by the protagonist before it's publication.
The stories had a magical effect: after seeing themselves portrayed with such genuiness they wanted to share and talk with the audience through the comments, they felt seen and the audience perceived it
