Plant Exploration and Familiarization I
            VR simulation depicting a large scale industrial complex complete with building interiors, equipment, infrastructure and environment. The VR application was made with Unreal Engine and it has real-time lighting. The environment is fully explorable which is the main goal of this project, for the employee to virtually explore the plant and get familiarized before going on-site. This further opens the possibility to add training scenarios.
             This project was developed by a two man team and our main focus was on optimizing the raw CAD data from the client. The scene had around 220 million polygons so we divided the models based on different criteria such as equipment type, structure type and geometry type. We used UE4 LOD generator to reduce the number of polygons in the scene. The whole scene was set-up in 3dsMax and exported to UE4 via Datasmith.
