2020 was a year that tested us, but it was also one that allowed us to show tremendous benevolence. Amidst the pandemic and America beginning to reckon with racism, we found a new way to give back to our community. 

This new initiative came in the form of the Belonging In FinTech Scholarship Awards. It was launched in 2020 as a way of providing Black students and students of color a more equitable opportunity to fund their education which will—hopefully—lead to them finding a job in the financial technology field. 

In this heartwarming video, we decided to schedule one last Zoom call that we told them is for follow up questions. But then we flipped the script and surprised them by congratulating them as actual winners.

My role? All of the post production. My team and I scheduled and recorded the Zoom calls and identified the best clips to tell our story. From there, I worked my video editing, motion graphics, and audio mixing magic.
