StoriesConnect is an initiative to remove stigma surrounding mental health issues in children and youth. As a much larger deliverable than branding and digital presence, ion8 has been involved at the core strategy of this project, and played a key role in how the whole initiative has unfolded. 

StoriesConnect is comprised of a series of scripts written by Jim MacLachlan about real-life experiences of his past students.  Facilitators can use these scripts to act out a production with students for their school to help shed light on struggles with mental health. The objective is to help children and youth to realize that they're not alone in their personal battles, and that mental health challenges are quite common, regardless of age. 

 

Brand, strategy, and other digital components include branding, social media and a web strategy that is comprised of two compents. One will serve as the facilitation resource and guide, the second, InStoryo (currently raising funds for development) is intended to be an open and anonymous forum from where students can collaborate on new stories that Jim creates.
