Jack Sawyer is an ordinary twelve year old boy who had to face the harsh reality directly. All life is like escape, the race for the unattainable ideal - calm life. This pattern of behavior is projected by his mother, Lily Kevinew-Sawyer, running from a scary man. There is a victim, there is a pursuer. There is a lifeguard who happens to be the third corner of the triangle. Sometimes these angles are reversed.
