The concept has been based on toys, as they are not only the essence 

of childhood but also have various meanings.  The first thought which comes to mind when thinking of toys is children; this is due to toys being defined as objects for children to play with. When researching the word “toy” further it can, however be seen in a completely contradictory 

manner as a toy is also defined as an object that provides amusement for an adult.  In conjunction with this the verb “toy with” is relevant as it refers to moving or handling something absentmindedly or nervously.  

When relating this thought back to children it is significant as child rapists often regard children as objects of sexual pleasure and do not realise the seriousness of what they are doing.
