Details are everything. For the sole, we chose translucent gum and a hand drawn honeycomb pattern printed on foam. On the upper, terry cloth represents fuzzy pollen—collecting hairs on bees' legs and suede, fine textures on bees' bodies. A gelled heel cap for beekeeper gloves and a swirling print on the canvas for honey. The label features a hand-drawn honey bee and leads to a message on the sock liner.
