Objective  
Announce during the orange happening around the World Cup 2014 that Van Gils is the new clothing sponsor of the Dutch Football Association (players and technical staff) and make sure that the special World Cup collection will be sold out fast.

Target group  
Dutch men over 25 years.  

Concept 
The powerful symbol of Dutch football is the lion. We linked the creed of Van Gils ‘No Stitch. No Story’ with the sponsorship of the Dutch Football Association by letting Kevin Richardson, the ‘lion whisperer’, play football with wild lions. In style, of course. Next, we also supported the Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary by donating it with each suit sold.

Media strategy
With their special World Cup collection, Van Gils became a stylish alternative amidst the many orange knickknacks. Compared to the other big Dutch Football Association sponsors a striking 360 campaign was made, with a very limited budget. The main focus was on a viral video and some key visuals. Furthermore: PR, online/webshop, social media, in-store print, outdoor and some 45 sec. TV commercials around the World Cup finals of our Dutch team.
