MODEC is a global, connected and continuously growing company. World leader in the construction and operation of floating systems for the production of oil and gas, it has a series of projects under development for implementation in the coming years.

Currently, the company is already responsible for more than 20% of all national petrol production and 35% of all pre-salt production. MODEC do Brasil is the MODEC Group company with the largest number of employees, units in operation and production capacity, with more than 50% of employees working in the country and the largest fleet of ships in operation in the segment.

In 2020, seeking to update itself in digital formats, a new careers page was built for Brazil. In a partnership between the Recruitment and Selection team and the Communication team, of which I was part as an in-house designer, we proposed changing the careers page - previously uninformative and inviting - to one that communicated the importance of people to the company.

I was entrusted with this project shortly after joining the company and, as the only designer on the Communications team, my mission was to create a careers page that would inspire and show that one of the main goals of the group is to train people to overcome challenges and prepare themselves for the future - in the short, medium and long term.

Before starting, I asked my colleagues to explain to me what we could use in terms of elements, images and content, and we identified MODEC's proprietary image bank, with photos of real employees from offshore positions to offices, as an important resource.
In my view, if candidates could see themselves in photos representing specific areas, they would be more likely to apply, creating a stronger bond with the company even before they become part of the team.

Along with a tight deadline, the recruiting manager gave me carte blanche to run the project. Since there was neither time nor financial resources for a more in-depth research, I sought information from the R&S team, the greatest specialist in platform user feedback and a profound knowledge of the company's main employment characteristics, information on the number of hires, training programs selection and possible subjects that candidates most look for on the pages when applying for vacancies.

After two intense weeks of work, the deadline was met and my clients were satisfied with the results.

The page was such a success that Tokyo's office asked us to consult for them a few months later. The final page of international careers was based on the one I planned and helped envision for Brazil.
