Green Athena (of Marco Polo Green Businesses Co. Ltd.) is an education consultancy, language academy, and training center that bridges the gap between Myanmar and Japan by preparing Burmese youth for a Japanese higher education and career.

The business was in need of a rebranding as its old visual identity appeared dated, and did not represent the values and principles the business stood for. The new brand was designed to reflect values of trust, reliability, and modernism, while maintaining an air of friendly approachability.
Exploratory sketches for the logo
The name "Athena" refers to the Greek goddess of wisdom and war. The brand symbol takes inspiration from Greek columns and graduation caps - the former a symbol of strength and foundation, and the latter a symbol of a young adult's hope for the future and their transition from adolescence to adulthood.
The brand mark was constructed with mathematical precision in mind. The sizes of the shapes, and the spaces between them are built on the golden ratio.
The mark has been tested on different sizes and colors to ensure responsiveness and flexibility, whether it is a tiny application on an office pen or on a larger signboard, and whether it is in color or grayscale.

A new color palette was researched and chosen, opting for a slightly, bolder shade of green as the brand's primary color, and a dark turquoise as the secondary color to reflect the more professional tone.

Clean, modern sans-serif fonts with round, circular letterforms were chosen to maintain the friendly air.

After the logo, color palette, and type choices were finalized, stationary, uniforms, and a banner were visualized to display the logo on application.
