I am honored to be able to attend the “UNIQLO Macau Illustrator Cooperation Project” this time. The design tells stories with feelings, and showcases the unique local culture through the characteristic small objects of Macau. The Portuguese rooster, red mailbox, and bus in the work are all unique features of Macau. This idea is to bring new sparks between the characteristic culture of Macau and the clothing culture of UNIQLO, so that customers who purchase can also fall in love with and understand the cultural characteristics of Macau.

1. Old bus in Macau x Uniqlo
Uniqlo clothing has always been advancing with the times and drawing inspiration from the times. However, the vehicles in Macau have also been changing due to the times. Because of the area of Macau, the most representative one must be the Macau buses that shuttle through the road. Because there are different bus companies operating, different routes also have different colors and styles. This is also its interesting part, and it also shows significant Macau characteristics.

2. Macau mailbox and pillar box x Uniqlo
The mailbox of Macau is also one of the characteristics of Macau. People often see Macau mailboxes next to the gates of some older residential buildings. The red pillar boxes in Macau are also very characteristic of Macau. This illustration incorporates the innovation and culture of Uniqlo into these two emotional objects. It hypothesizes with interest what it would be like if Uniqlo opened a post office with the appearance of a Macau mailbox.

3. Portuguese rooster x Uniqlo
The Portuguese rooster is also a well-known feature of Macau. During the Macau-Portuguese period, this characteristic culture was also brought to Macau. According to legend, a pilgrim in Portugal was sentenced to death after being mistaken for a thief. Before the execution, the judge was eating the roast chicken standing up and crying for his grievance, which was shocking, so the pilgrim was acquitted. After that, the story of the appearance of the rooster spread throughout Portugal and became a symbol of justice, trust and good luck. The concept this time is to combine the costume culture of uniqlo with the illustrations of Macau Portuguese rooster culture to draw this unique uniqlo Portuguese rooster.
