I took several behavior science and puppy development classes, read several puppy books and then organized the info for this using the sources listed at the bottom of the page, ran it by our veterinarian and behavior manager, laid it out and designed it and then our communications director proofread it. The puppy photo was taken by our photographer. This timeline info is really important for reducing injuries or behavior issues in dogs, but the information wasn't particularly accessible to the general public. I tried to present it as simply as I could in a more visual and organized format that would fit on one page of a booklet for new puppy owners. I couldn't find any comprehensive and up-to-date puppy development timeline graphics online, so I made my own.
