The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
For this project I redesigned the cover for the classic story of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. My idea was to try and design the title type to give the impression of wood relief carvings in the wardrobe, similar to how it was explained in the book and how it was portrayed in the movie. I wanted to stay away from the typical imagery of the lamp post from the story.
I was encouraged to use more unique colors for this assignment which really helped to elevate the design. In my first version, I kept it warm and simple with earth tones which you can see below.
