UX project about connecting humans to nature
In my forth year of studies in UX studio we worked with various organisations trying to help them by using design thinking, one of them was DLX laboratory from Tokyo who research the area of the nuclear disaster in Fukushima.
The lab has placed microphones throughout the area to study the changes of nature.
The use of remote-controlled sensors allows the damaged area to be recover without physical interruption of humans.
I have worked together with my partner, starting from throwing crazy fictions idea into a mood board and continue with finding a need and a solution that would make a useful tool for the lab in their daily research.

The project combine two challenges, one is to understand how can we call the user for action and the second one is how to make it accessible to every user even if his knowledge in birds is negligible.
After a few weeks we precise the main product, a product for easy labelling that can be used by assistants and volunteers, in the actual proccess the user is teaching the algorithm to define sounds and figure out the right species.
Working with researchers from the other side of the globe was really unique experience, it was a rare opportunity for me to create a product with zero commercial profit purpose, to create a product that can be part of a research that taking care of human consequences.
