A wireless induction charging pad designed for charging Qi-enabled mobile phones. The generously radius squared form with the porcelain white finishing gives a soothing form for the wireless charging pad. The raised rubberized bumps provide traction for a slip-free surface to place the phone and also act as a visual indication to position the mobile phone. Induction charging provides a convenient alternative to charging via cables. The simple and intuitive act of laying down the mobile phone on the charging pad initialized the charging.
The + shape pattern was inspired by the positive and negative electrical polarity of the electrical current signifying the flow of the current from the positive pole to the negative pole. The + shape silicon bumps create a slip-free surface to place the phone and also act as a visual indication to position the smartphone.
The brushed aluminum plate acts as a heat radiator to dissipate heat during the wireless charging process.
