- AIM OF THE PROJECT -
A new bespoke trainer outfitter asked for three different trainers designs for upcoming footwear.

BACK. FRONT. SIDE & SOLE
The company is called SWIFT, the gimmick is they have no logo and are asking for unique representations of their name on each design, this is an open brief, they simply want to see what you are capable of.
- RESEARCH -
Firstly checked on the internet and shops for existing and current designs of my chosen brief. After I had gathered all the necessary information and material needed for my designs, I began to put my ideas into writing in my notebook.

- MY CHALLENGES -
Choosing the four briefs as mentioned above was a massive challenge on its own. Having known encounter some difficulties with Trainers, however I decided to rise to the challenge as I enjoy designing products that brings out the creativity in me and puts a smile on my customers’ faces.

I tried Maya 3D software for my trainer’s design but it was too difficult for me to learn in the short time I had to complete the project.

HOW I OVERCAME THE CHALLENGES -
As I could not use the Maya 3D software, I decided to use both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for my trainers’ designs. After watching several tutorials on YouTube on how to use the two software to design trainers, I gave it a go, which took me a while to complete the design. However, It gave me the opportunity to know how to sketch and tracing my sketches in Adobe illustrator.

WHAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY -
If I were to do this project again;

I would use Maya 3D or other 3D software for the trainers, however this would require a good knowledge of it before it can be used for any design.
CONCLUSION -
My time was incredibly well managed  and explored lots of various designs to achieve some very creative final pieces. Putting my ideas in writing, sketching and applying colours to them on paper before designing them on computer made this project more enjoyable, quicker and methodically simpler than some of my previous projects.

Gathering the right information really aided and taught me how to create a simple and effective sketch. It was a quick and easy process which I can now repeat in a small amount of time.

By completing this project, I have learnt many skills and deepened my understanding of the elements in my learning outcomes. I refreshed, picked up and learnt new skills by carrying out this project, in particular, my newly developed knowledge of Pen and Brush tools in Adobe Photoshop and refreshing my skills in using Adobe Illustrator, which was very helpful.
