ISOLATION
Only the young can be alone freely.
The time is shorter now for company,
And sitting by a lamp more often brings
Not peace, but other things.
Ten months into isolation, being away from people is no longer something I used to embrace so willingly. I miss the small social things like brunch and late nights at a bar with friends. Randomly bumping into people you haven't seen in so long. Too long.
