Manifesto Poster

The main goal of the poster was to embody and reflect the essence of the IBM Originals manifesto: "We are relentlessly curious, idea astronauts, Jedi, creative storytellers
and champions of quality."

The abstraction of “We Are” to “We r:” represents the construct that creative people see and experience the world differently. The use of text bleeding off the page alludes to expansiveness and “thinking outside of the box.” The sharp and rounded edges that the intersections create points imply curiosity and openness to surprises. The contrast in curves and straight lines of the “We” in a neutral sans-serif font and the “r:” in italics, plays on the idea of communication, collaboration, and storytelling, both having different perspectives (one up, one down), but intermingling with a common goal. The iridescent quality of the paper enhances the notion of space, as well as the qualities of a Jedi. Finally, the reflective element of the paper points to the fact that when a person is part of the content team, they too are an Original.
Originals - Postcard

This postcard was designed to complement the Originals manifesto poster, added to the welcome packets for new team members. While the design is different, the essence of the postcard remains the same.
WE ARE - Sticker

At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a need to unify the IBM Originals team, while physically apart and working remotely. Inspiration for this sticker came from the classic "Thank You" grocery bags representing gratitude. The use of repetition celebrates the idea that though we are many, we are one. The outlined “WE ARE” provides space for possibilities. "WE ARE..." ONE, UNITED, TOGETHER, etc.
Career Day - Postcard

This postcard was produced for Career Day, an integrative conference presented for all IBM New York offices. The event provides mentorship and networking opportunities for junior team members with IBM executives, to inspire and encourage talent development.
