- Headline: Muara Regular
- Body: Garamond
Story Summary: The Shepherd Santiago embarks on an adventure to find his treasure & Personal Legend. In doing so, he meets several people who are discovering their own Personal Legends, as they are in the midst of discovering their own Legends, they end up helping him to realize his goal.
Type of Story: Fantasy, Life Journey, Adventure
Setting: Middle Eastern, Desert
Story Target Audience: Mature Reader, 24 years old & older

Reasoning for Font Choice:
- Headline: Muara Regular is a Formal Script font that has a serious yet playful character, at the same time, it gives a feeling of mystery & adventure. The font works well with the ‘The Alchemist’ as it portrays the story’s world as intended by the writer.
- Body: Garamond is an Old-Style Serif font that works well with large bodies of text, on the limited space at the back of the book, the font allows the reader to comfortably read & understand quite a bit of information in the limited space. The font itself has a warm & welcoming feel to it as it is based on human hand writings. Garamond has a 19th Century character to it which fits the story’s time frame of olden days before the common industrializing of the world.

Book Design 1
Objective: To showcase the story’s setting & preview into the climax of the protagonist’s Personal Legend. The colors used are meant to bring about an interesting take on the fantasy world of ‘The Alchemist’, with the dune providing a leading line towards the unusually colored Pyramid & final cumulation of the peak of the Pyramid pointing towards the North Star. The North Star represents the true direction that Santiago should follow. The gradient background of the evening sky presents a contrast to the star where in the coming of the night (uncertainty) follow your true path that will lead you to your Personal Legend (Treasure / Purpose).

Book Design 2
Objective: The design aims to showcase the mystery of the adventure that Santiago will embark upon. In the vast desert, there are many sand dunes to transverse which he overlooks from an edge to survey the land that he must brave. At the end will be where his treasure lies. The multi colored dunes show the different side of the empty desert & the adventure that awaits. The design shows anticipation & bravery to face one’s fears so to finally get to your goal.

Book Design 3
Objective: To show the amazing wonders of the desert which hide its mysterious inhabitants & adventure. The colors used are meant to excite the viewer, with the sun rays being used as a leading line to direct the reader’s eye towards the pyramids. The pyramids are brightly colored bring about visual interest & give attention to the main object.
