For this assignment we were to design a magazine including a masthead, a cover, a table of contents, a feature opener and at least 2 spreads for a graphic designer of our choice. For my magazine I chose Chip Kidd as my designer because his work is unique and very diverse. To top it off, he went to high school right down the road from me, about 5 minutes from my hometown. So by seeing a graphic designer from my area essentially make it in the design world is very inspiring.
For my layout I wanted to mimic some of Kidds' work. He is known for a lot of his comic book designs and illustrations, so I created a fun and unique layout for each spread.
