CKC Online Camp 2020

For this year’s annual camp, the management has decided for the camp online. Hence many of the objectives are translate into a more conducive manner. The objective of this camp is to ensure the campers/children are coping with the pandemic. It has been quite a challenge as most children had to take education in an online platform versus how it was before the pandemic.

The drawing above is the finalised logo for 2020 camp. Connecting to the theme, Online. I had carefully input the act of using the computer in the design. Inside the logo comprises of many different yellow characters. This characters are a staple of the annual camp as they representation of the campers and also kidney beans as most of the campers are renal patients. Not only that, if you look closer the there are at least 20 kidney beans to celebrate the 20th Anniversary since the camp was held.

Below are the few samples that are rejected. It is expected that the logos are seen as child-like as this camp are for patients between the age of 4 to 23. The childlike design was to bring out a more quirky yet innocent side of the camp, as it promotes the possibility of doing anything that the campers dream of.

Apart from doing the logo, I took charge of editing the game videos. In every annual camp hosted by CKC, they put a side some parts for the games. The first video below is for their escape room game. I edited this video in a way that gives a thriller theme vibes. Small glitches to recreate a found lost video.
The following few pieces are the images and videos for the storyline for the whole camp. In line with the theme of the camp, the management had ask me to put together a storyline that matches their theme for the camp.
From the first image, I was inspired by a card game called, Singaporean Dreams. The icon change by having a few elements that relates to the hospital to give a more familiar feeling. From the background I give a repetitive pattern to make it look more game-like. I gave the patterns in the background a flat tone as too not distract the audience view.
In this camp, I curb the video in a way that it relates to the campers by having familiar faces acting in the video.
The whole camp ends with the video (below) of the characters ending the mission. While working with these videos, it was unfortunate that the quality was shrunk and the audio was missing. To fill in the gap, I input in narrations to replace the conversations among the actors. I enhance it even more by using various angles and viewpoint of the character that I spoke.
