The increased demand for customized designed furniture has facilitated the search for new collaborative spaces intended to create a wholesome experience in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.  To tackle this, a co-working space Situated at 226 Main street, McDonald block, Winnipeg, Manitoba will be home to Furniture designers, Carpenters, materials experts, industrial consultants etc.  The main goal is to provide an affordable space that would double as a learning and working environment that increases the productivity and creativity of its users and professionals. Fostering social change through networking is important to design a space that allows collaboration between different creative fields such as artists, developers and designers. The proposed collaborative space will provide unique conditions for creative experimentation with regards to furniture design, its construction and performance in the built environment.
