Villa Amalias was one of the oldest Greek squats, occupied back in 1990. The squat was an important social center in downtown Athens, functioning as a music stage, a book and movies library and a cafe. It has also provided physical and psychological safety to many immigrants that lived in the neighbourhood against the frequent fascist attacks. It was finally evicted in 2013 after a first eviction in December 2012 and a re-occupation of the building in January 2013.

This old project was made as a tribute to the place that inspired me during my first years in Athens. I made my first steps making posters in that house back in 1995, using mostly the art of collage and a basic knowledge of photoshop.

The poster was among many other in the 24th Warsaw International Poster Biennale and has now a place in the Wilanów Poster Museum.
