WGD Social Issue Poster

This poster was designed for an international client, Irwan Harnoko, President/Director of Worldwide Graphic Designers along with creating a brand and identity design for a new sector within, WGD, a student organization of graphic designers. The purpose for this poster is to bring awareness to social issue and sensitize social reflection. Our group’s chosen topic for this project is  to bring awareness to a social issue of fake news. With this concept, I wanted to visually represent the title, “Breaking Fake News” by creating a shattering effect. The red and white color used on the text was inspired by the existing breaking news flash alert shown on television to give an idea of what the topic is about. The same colors are used on the dates to create a sense of harmony. The black background was chosen to create a nice contrast highlighting the title and creating a visual presence. To communicate this poster clearly, I used familiar graphic elements and related visual effects making it easier for the audience to understand the information presented.
