The objective was to create an animation from an existing illustration to learn how to use After Effects from Illustrator.  I decided to animate an illustration that I did explicate why the sky is blue. 

Here are some of the sketches of how to organize the different ideas in a simple way. I did a lot of more sketches when I created the illustration, but these are the last ones.

For the first draft of the animation, I animated the first part of the explication. In this part I explained that the white light, as the sunlight is made of various colors. 

In this second part I added the explanation that each color is transmitted by waves and each one varies in length. In After Effects the waves look a little different, but the main concept was conveyed.  

This third part of the 

I enjoyed the process. It is interesting how Adobe Programs have similarities, but each one of them has a different way to use them. I learned faster than what I was expected. Although there are a lot of details to improve on this project I am satisfied with the result, but especially with the process of learning.
