I usually use a form of high and low pass skin retouching... but no more. I found that the new neural filter powered by Adobe Sensei for skin smoothing does a decent job of making the skin look fantastic. for the following images, I reduced the transparency of filter to 80-85% and retouched using the spot healing tool for larger areas of correction. Because the neural filter can make skin look flat, I created a new layer with the soft light blending mode and shaded in areas with an extremely low transparent black to give the image more depth.
