Monster Illustration Project (ARTS 332)
For this project, we were challenged with illustrating and designing a monster while incorporating our concise storytelling skills aimed at a youth audience.
For this design, my goal was to allow my illustrated monster, Morzy, to appear as a friendly, cookie-baking monster which is communicated through his smile, illustrated cookie, and approachable fur.
"Morzy was a cute, happy purple monster with a big smile and even bigger heart. He loved to bake gumdrop cookies for all the creatures in Gumdrop Forest. Morzy would deliver his tasty treats every morning by climbing up and down his white ash tree. His friends would greet him at the bottom of the tree with a warm hug and leave with a full belly.
Morzy quickly inspired all of the Gumdrop Forest creatures with his joy. So everyone started creating their own yummy treats like gumdrop cakes and gumdrop pies. Quickly, all of the Gumdrop Forest monsters came together to throw huge feasts every day all because a small monster started sharing his yummy cookies."
