My Art Style
This portfolio is a collection of my past and recent works with my own art style. It was a technique I created in 2006 after an interview with a local artist Edward Bowen. His technique contained elements of futurism which inspired me and led to the creation of my own style.

After 2006, I did little work in art as I moved into the field of business, most of art was for one of clients needed business cards and flyers. In 2010 however, given the opportunity to further my skills as a graphic artist, I decided to perfect my style after reviewing my old art pieces.

I am yet to come up with a name for this style, but basically these are pieces that are based on events on my life and the inner workings of my mind.
Cityscape in Reflection : 12/9/10
Medium: Pens

Created during my last days in Port of Spain. The idea that what you see is much different from what you experience in the city.
Lion Fish or Building Layout? : 14/10/10
Medium: Pens

People thought it looked more of a building plan. This was when I was coming out of my comfort zone with my art, but still keeping up my defences.
Beak of Armour : 20/11/10
Medium: Pens

A more polished version of my art style (still no name). This is where I refined my technique with larger shapes and define lines.
Flying Machine : 18/12/10
Medium Pen and Markers

I had another moment of overwhelming content in my head, so I designed this piece, it eventually rendered into a mechanical mosquito as it had quite a few in my room, after a window broke.
Pink Spirals : 5/3/11
Medium: Pen and Coloured Pencils

Tired and needed an artistic release, I created this piece during Art History class. Reflecting a start of the carnival celebrations.
Blue Bunny : 7/3/11
Medium: Pen and Markers

Had a morning of gardening and though tired was feeling a bit restless and frustrated. When I was creating this piece, like always there was no direction, I just let the pen do its magic. Coming to the end, I had it render into a rabbit.
Gears : 8/3/11
Medium: Pen and Markers

This design focuses on connectivity. there are several points through which paths are weaved. This piece is the beginning of making my style more dimensional, where lines are woven around another.
Velocity! : 9/3/11
Medium: Pen and Markers

This is my attempt at pushing the dimensions of the style where layers can be seen. It is were I have started applying shades to my style as well to increase the impact of the art.

This piece was created after feeling a bit rushed to reach to class and wanted to design something that reflected movement.
